My dearest,

here I am at our first meeting.
I am glad I can reach all of you to send you my love and greetings and a friendly hug.
I want to send My best filial and grateful greeting to Mother Yvonne and her Council and to every Sister in the world.

Let me express my gratitudine to Paola, the former President, and to the whole last Council, to Sr. Maria Luisa, Counselor for the Salesian Family, to Sr. Maritza, Confederal Delegate and to all Expupils met in the past years.
As you know, in the past four years I have held the office of Treasurer: it has been a hard duty, for the difficult situation the Association had to face, but with the help of the whole Council we have done big steps ahead.

In October we will meet for the first time with the new elected during the fifth Elective Assembly in Mornese (while translating this letter, the first meeting has already taken place in Rome on 24h and 25th Oct.): as I look at every component of this Council, I think of many colourful flowers different among each other, owing to their origin country and to their habits, but I am sure that taken all together, we will form a bunch of flowers scenting “a Salesian perfume”.

Among all wishes received, there was one saying:
Thank-you, Mary, because you have accepted to help the Expupils in their walk! Always remember: you have been chosen in the House of Maria Domenica Mazzarello in Mornese in the Day of the Virgin Mary and of Don Bosco’s bicentenary…

The helps won’t fail! Trust them and go on peacefully in your service, even among difficulties: There are people who prey for you!”.

I entrust my mandate to Mother Mazzarello, and welcome her words taken from letter n. 24:

“In order to be happy, we should go on in simplicity, looking for satisfactions neither from this world’s creatures, nor from the things. You have only to fulfil your duty in a proper way for Jesus’ love and not to think of anything else. If you are humble, you will have his confidence and He will do the rest”.
